An innovative engineer, author, advocate and educator, Kevin brings his 37 plus years of industry experience continuously improving transport packaging, logistics, and distribution of temperature-sensitive products within the biopharmaceutical, regenerative medicine, and cellular therapy industries to BioLife.
His experience includes 26 years at Abbott Laboratories as a principle packaging engineer; specializing in insulated transport packaging. He is a former elected member of the United States Pharmacopeia Convention Expert Committee for Packaging, Storage and Distribution (2010-2015) and a recipient of the 2013 USP Award for Innovative Response to Public Health Challenges for outstanding work and leadership. He was awarded "Temperature Controlled Logistics Leader for 2012" by IQPC’s Temperature Control Logistics & Quality Network, an international industry peer group recognizing 15 of the most influential and inspiring thought leaders in global pharmaceutical supply chain.
He remains a Temporary Advisor to the World Health Organization, a Certified Facilitator for the WHO/PDA Pharmaceutical Cold Chain Management on Wheels Course, and their ePELA Authentic e-Learning Course on Pharmaceutical Cold Chain Management. He is the recipient of the Parenteral Drug Association 2015 Distinguished Author Award for his groundbreaking book Cold Chain Chronicles: A practitioners outside the box perspectives on the importance of temperature-sensitive drug stewardship.
